The Croatian town of Samobor, just west of Zagreb, hosted the 23rd meeting of lovers of the French-made car Citroen 2CV from July 30 to August 4. It was organized by the 2CV Citroen Club Croatia. 2CV’s in Croatia are popular under name „Spaček“. My aunt had one of the when I was a little girl and today they are rarelly seen, at least I haven seen one in ages. But last week about 4,000 of vintage vehicles and some 8,000 to 10,000 people from all over the world has visited Samobor and Zagreb last week. The meeting also celebrated 100 Years of brand Citroen. Spaček’s were driving for 6 days all around the area and it was happy, colourful and happy scenery. This is the first time such annual meeting has taken place in Croatia. Granturismo, travel agency and me organised city tours of Zagreb and Plitvice lakes in three different languages; English, French and German. It was great fun, we met some wonderful people, worked hard but I am so proud to have been a part of it. I took this picture at the Main Square Ban Jelačić in Zagreb after one of the city tours.
